Memorial Day Edition

Today is the day to remember all the soldiers.  In my immediate family, my Dad served.  My son’s maternal Grandfather served and was a war hero.  Most of my co-workers at DRC served and my collegue, Paul Balint’s son served and died in combat.

People forget about the scale of the world we are living in.  Us humans with our monkey sized minds aren’t build to comprehend what it means to 4,300 troops dead and 48,000 civilians dead.

Anyhow, in a world with numbers this big, small check charity counts for more than you’d think.  Here is one place you can contribute to offset the cost of the war: “Gold Start Family Support Center

  1. Hello Matt – I’m slowly getting back into the DoD world and really appreciate your awareness of the military. Anyway, I’ll be talking to you soon and like I said I’m looking into a GS positon for the AF here in Abilene. Talk to you soon and I’ll pass your site around to folks who I know would be interested. Thx again,
